Together In Mission (TIM)
First Lutheran helps in the support of the ministry of Missionary Tim Norton and his family as they bring the Gospel message to the Malinke  people of Guinea, West Africa.

The Malinke (also known as Maninka) are a widespread group found throughout West Africa.  They are the second largest ethnic group in Guinea with 1.7 million people and are the proud descendants of the ancient empire of Mali.  All Malinke identify strongly with the religion of Islam, but many continue to practice and mix in their traditional (animistic) beliefs.  With less than 1 percent Christian, the Malinke are an unevangelized, unreached people.

Pray that the Gospel will reach the Malinke people through the mission team's friendship evangelism, Bible study, and literature distribution ministry.  Also pray for peace in the region and political stability in Guinea.  >> Click for Photos!

Members of our First Lutheran family are involved with numerous coummunity service projects.  A couple of examples are our long-standing commitment to help provide food for Good Shepherd Mission in Kansas City, MO and quality used items for the Faith Village Thrift Store.  Other programs are below.
