Picnic 2005

A wonderful time was had by the 117 church family members and friends who attended the Fall Festival Picnic & Carnival last Sunday.  We were blessed with babies to ninety year olds.  The tables were filled with a variety of delicious foods to choose from, with plenty for seconds and thirds.  Our Emcee, Jim Fuchs, kept us on the edge of our chairs waiting to see who was going to win the pretty tasty table centerpieces.  He gave out prizes galore!  Katie Oberg even touched a “live snake” to get hers.  She was the bravest girl there.  He had several volunteers in suspense with his light-sensitive beatle race.  We even learned how much tax we pay on our telephone bills...grumble, grumble....inside joke.

The Praise Group sang and the children, still remembering their VBS action songs, provided our entertainment.  There were some serious pitch, cribbage and bingo games going on while the children bobbed for apples and had a cupcake walk.  A big THANK YOU to all who worked before and after to make our picnic and carnival a success.  Who says Christians can’t have fun?
