Outreach
Members of our First Lutheran family are involved with numerous community service projects. Our congregation has a long-standing commitment to help provide assistances for Good Samaritans Fund, My Father's House, and several seasonal community events. Other programs are below.
Sonshine Preschool
We are a children’s ministry of the First Lutheran Church and welcome children from all backgrounds and beliefs. Our goal is that each child will learn to live as a child of God—loving God and loving their neighbors as themselves. >>Learn more here!
Paola Association for Church Action (PACA)
PACA is an organization of Paola churches cooperating in many efforts. The work of PACA is to provide services and ministries to the physical, social, educational and spiritual needs of persons living in our area, and to increase communications among local churches, youth groups, etc. Projects and services include:
- Sponsorship of Foster Grandparents
- Local Nursing Home church services
- Community Food Bank
- General Relief Assistance for Paola
- Resident and transient assistance (gas, meals, motel)
- Utility Assistance Program
- Operation Holiday
